1) Baby Bells

Nostalgic memories float through my head when anything related to the word, bell-bottoms, is mentioned.  Don’t you remember?  You were NOT cool if you didn’t sport a pair, at least once a week, during the 90’s.  So, set those skinny jeans aside because it’s time to welcome these stunners referred to as, 'baby bells,' into your wardrobe this spring.  A new twist to the infamous, bell-bottom pant has been introduced and on trend for 2015.  Debuted in an array of pastels perfect for the season, the 'baby bell,' is simply a slimmer version of the classic style and is uniquely flattering for all body types.  Whether you pair them with a vibrant, patterned top or a simple, neutral, you’re ensured to be the most stylish gal in town.

2) Fringe

Yes, FRINGE!  #Need... I know!  This trend is probably the coolest one featured in my opinion.  It seems that fringe has been desperately trying to reinvent itself and emerge back into the spotlight within the fashion world for some time now.  The trend made it big in the 20’s during the flapper era and has now hit the world by a storm with a full come back.  The possibilities are endless when it comes to donning anything fringe.  Dresses, skirts, tops, shoes, necklaces and belts alike can all be adorned with this trend and worn in style.  Fringe even translates over to hair for either bangs or the cut itself.  So, if there were any doubts before, set all your reservations aside.  Do yourself a favor and add some fringe to your wardrobe.  I certainly will!

3) Prison Stripes

I think by this point, we’ve all come to learn that, Orange is the New Black.  That’s not the only thing sneaking through security.  The ever so famous, black and white stripes are breaking through the prison walls and straight to the runway this season.  Designers put a twist on the ever-classic stripe by turning things horizontally for a fresh new look.  Black and white are both timeless colors that match everything and will forever be on trend.  With that being said, it was no surprise the style was so widespread throughout the different shows this year.  Ranging from dresses, tops and jackets to handbags and scarves, be sure to stripe it up this spring.  We’ve broken bad with the orange and now it’s time to do it again with the prison stripe.

4) Mesh

Mesh was inevitably the most widespread trend during New York Fashion Week.  It was heavily used to accent dresses, skirts and shorts.  This year, many designers incorporated athletic wear into their shows, which highlighted the majority of mesh looks.  Specifically, organza mesh was the fabric of choice on many of the pieces as it gives the appearance of traditional, silk organza.  Two-toned colors paired with equally vibrant hues offered a futuristic theme to this sporty trend.  Cobalt blue, red and particularly, bright yellow added to the fashion-forward vibe for these springtime trends.  The layering of colors, topped with the mesh, gave the clothing almost a 3-D effect.  This trend embodies an athletic appeal, but also offers high fashion style.  If you’re searching for that perfect sport meets chic ensemble, look no further as mesh provides all that and more.

5) Bib-top Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits have been on trend for quite some time now.  In fact, the moto style was all the rage last season both on the streets and runway.  Although the moto had a good run, this spring, it will be taking a back seat to the bib-top jumpsuit.  This bib-top is super chic as it features a high neckline that is sure to appease those of any body type.  This new style embodies a more professional edge to the classic jumpsuit we’ve come to know and love.  Paired with an elegant blazer, this is a look that could be taken straight to the boardroom.  Invest in a bib-top jumpsuit and it is sure to become one of your wardrobe staples for many occasions this spring.

This year, New York Fashion Week left us with many varying trends.  Although spring may seem a distance off, it’s never too early to begin preparing for the new trends to come.  All styles ranging from sporty to professional and everything in-between can be accomplished with these five trends.  Whether you step out in some baby bells paired with a fringe top or a mesh embellished, bib-top jumpsuit - be prepared for people to stop and stare.  Wardrobe any of these styles and know you’ll be ready for anything - runway ready, of course.
