A gal should always feel comfortable in her fashion. And as we all know, fabulous fashion doesn’t always equal comfort. Well today, it can. I’m sharing the scoop on an amazing brand that underlines comfort in fashion while putting soul in style - Ix Style. These haute (hot!) huarache sandals feel good and DO good.
Ix Style sandals are woven leather sandals (but really they look more like a shoe). Founded by Francesca and John Kennedy, Ix Sandals operate under an important give-back creto. When you purchase a pair of Ix Style sandals, you provide clean drinking water to children in Guatemala. Check out Ix Style Founder Francesca Kennedy’s bSmart Spotlight here.
Available for purchase on Anthropologie.com, AHALife, Shopbop.com, and toasted by Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Refinery 29, these babies are hot at the best shops but cool on the streets. These huaraches are structured (yet breezy!), so they’re perfect as we move toward cooler fall temperatures. I’ve styled two different everyday fall looks (one formal, one more casual) that will have you strutting (comfortably!) for miles in these shoes.
1) Sunday Brunch
So yes, crisp temperatures are here to stay. While rejoicing over sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes, we can also be thankful that it’s not YET cold enough for a total boot takeover. Work these sandals into your fall looks (like this one) easily, by pairing with a thicker sweater, dark jean, and fun fall accessories (I ALWAYS love a good hat). Bring out the straw color of the sandal with a similarly colored crossbody (my go-to is Rebecca Minkoff). And, voila! Keep cooler temperatures at bay with these haute huaraches.
2) Office Chic
Opt for an office chic look by pairing these sandals with a jersey dress and structured blazer. The blazer will add a sense of occasion to the look, but your feet will thank you for comfort while rocking a more “corporate” style (no need for high-heels here!). Pair with bright lip and a saddle handbag, and POW! You’re ready for a post-work happy hour in a snap (is it 5 o’clock, yet?).
