It’s summer and you’re feeling a wee bit lazy/lethargic/pool-friendly.  Have I hit the nail on the head, or am I referring to myself?  You be your own judge, but I know where I stand.

Either way, summer seems to be the most relaxing of our quarterly seasons.  This glorious timeslot is sprinkled with trips to the lake, beach, and – most importantly - the appropriate setting for those pretty drinks we crave all year.  Mai Tai’s and mojito’s don’t have a long lifetime; Christmas coladas will never be a thing.

However, I’m trying this summer season to use the below tech tools to get my head in the game and be my most efficient self.  Although not tech specific, Sophia Amburoso’s popular read, #GIRLBOSS, served as the gasoline to an itty-bitty ‘I need organization so badly’ flame.  Deep down, I knew I needed to get myself together, I just wasn’t sure, until finishing #GIRLBOSS this week, how badly I needed it.

Here are my three tech-friendly gadgets and practices I’m using to get my head in the efficiency game this summer:

1) WUNDERLIST

Wunderlist, which helps you create and share lists, is one of the most useful apps I’ve encountered to date.  It’s like an iCloud reader, but better.  I love love love Wunderlist.  I use it mostly with my good friends, but a lot of people might find it useful with roommates.  ‘Who’s buying the toilet paper this month?  Oh, that’s a job for Susie Q? Awesome - let’s put it on the Wunderlist.’

2) QUIRKY

Quirky is a company that makes inventions accessible by helping almost a million inventors create their products.  Call it nerdy but I promise the outlets, organizers, and knick-knacks this website holds are useful for your efficiency goals.  The Pivot Power station is basically every type A-type gals dream and the Aros Smart Window kind of makes my inner NYC heart sing.   Big city dwellers, I believe this device is for you.

3) PIPPIT

Pippit hasn’t been out for very long, but it’s already #1 on Apple’s list of paid Apps. What does Pippit do?  Let’s indulge:

Pippit allows you to share your photos, videos, and your blog all within one platform.  If you have a blog or website, you can add your RSS feed and those who follow you will automatically be updated when each of your latest posts are published.  If you don’t have a blog, but like to read a few here n’ there, you can also follow your favorite blogs within Pippit.

I discovered Pippit while following one of my most favorite blogs, Love Taza.  Naomi Davis, the cutest little motherly kumquat I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading about, put her noodle to the test and crafted this awesome app with her developer friend, Joy Cho.  They started their conversation on mobile use vs. desktop.  Since the digital consumer is pushing for mobile use for almost everything, Naomi and Joy began to build a platform bloggers would celebrate in Pippit.
