    Hey everyone!

This week we’re talking about empowerment! Below I’ve listed five empowering women I think you should know about.

    Malala Yousafzai:
Not only is she the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner, but she is also an incredible feminist symbol for young girls everywhere. She turned a traumatizing moment in her life into an event that would change history.

    Rose McGowan:
This actress is continuously at the forefront of the feminist movement and constantly shuts down sexist remarks. Her success in the film industry has given her the perfect stage to discuss the issues that are continuing to repress women

    Gloria Steinem:
Steinem is 83 years old and she’s still advocating for women’s rights. Being a leader of the feminist movement in America during the 1960s, she’s been working to advance women’s rights since.

    Maya Angelou:
She was a civil rights activist and feminist that women and girls will be able to look up to for many more decades to come.

    Ellen DeGeneres:
Ellen has empowered millions of people around the world through her career and philanthropic duties.

Obviously, there are many more empowering women we should know about! Comment below empowering women you feel we should know about using #Empowerment or #WomenYouShouldKnow

  • Hey bSmart ladies!

Is there anyone interested in a career in Finance or in Business in general? Is there anyone who currently works in Finance?

I’m calling out everyone who would want to meet up one day in NYC to talk about our experiences. We will talk about why we became interested in Finance, how each of our recruitment processes were like, and much more. This is an opportunity to learn more and to mentor others!

Please comment below if you would be interested! Once I get a good idea of how many people are interested in attending, I could set up a date and location!

Female Founders Fund partner, Sutian Dong, is the investor behind industry-leading companies like Rent the Runway, Maven Clinic, Zola, TALA, WayUp, Thrive Global, and more. With a background in seed-stage investing at FirstMark Capital and as Director of Marketing for fashion house Norisol Ferrari, Sutian leveraged her background into investing in tech-based businesses founded by women entrepreneurs with billion-dollar opportunities. After three years helping to create over $1 billion of enterprise value among 31 active portfolio companies based between NY, SF, and LA, Female Founders Fund has launched Fund II with $27 million to invest in the new wave of female talent. By maintaining a laser focus on supporting female founders with more than just capital, F3 has differentiated itself with the belief that it's possible to achieve outsized returns by investing in women, and their mission to build the strongest ecosystem of female founders and investors worldwide. Learn if venture capital financing is right for your business, how you can be a smart asset allocator, and how you can create a career investing in women. More

    Hi Fearless Females!

As you know, we aim to increase the number of female-leaders and decision makers through our bSmart core values.

This week, we’re featuring the core value: Purpose - A bSmart woman always knows 'why,' as well as, 'what' she's creating.

People often ask me, how can I find my purpose? There’s a secret trick to finding your personal and professional purpose —> joy.

Ask yourself, what brings me a tremendous amount of joy personally or professionally?

The answer? It’s the compass to your purpose.
