Dear 20-something Sara,

Gone are the days of basking in the sun with little (or no) regard for your skin’s health.  SPF 8 is not a good excuse for sunscreen.  Your skin will be with you FOREVER, treat it accordingly.

Today, my sun-kissed friends, I'm sharing a few sunscreens that run across the spectrum.  They’ll keep you bronzy, but ensure you’re protecting your precious person in the process!

1) NEUTROGENA ULTRA SHEER BODY-MIST SUNBLOCK SPF 30+

I love sprays.  They save your hands from the film-covered fingers that happen with other sunblock types.  Though, important to note, sprays can often miss spots (that you think you’ve covered).  Pat down your skin after you’ve sprayed to make sure you’re fully covered.

2) HAWAIIAN TROPIC SILK HYDRATION FACE LOTION SUNSCREEN SPF 30

I love the smell of a good beachy sunscreen.  The face lotion just makes me feel like I’m SUPPOSED to be on the beach.  It’s small enough to throw in a glove compartment or purse (you don’t have to be on the beach to get a burn, hunnies!)

3) COPPERTONE CLEARLYSHEER SPF 50

This spray is water resistant (for over an hour!), and has a light and sheer look.  It also has a lovely fruity scent, that’ll make you want to grab a piña colada!

4) LA ROCHE POSAY ANTHELIOS 60 ULTRA LIGHT SUNSCREEN LOTION SPRAY - SPF 60

With this one, I have to say, HELLO SUN PROTECTION. One little spritz gives you incredible protection (and a super white line). The dark white color is beneficial however, as you can very clearly see where you’ve sprayed. This is a good choice for those who need ultimate protection, and want to make sure they’re fully covered.

5) NEUTROGENA BEACH DEFENSE STICK SUNSCREEN SPF 50+

A stick can often be waxy and seem to create a film-covering face effect.  This stick is smooth and light, and is perfect for the full face (don’t forget the tops of your ears!).

So grab some sunblock and enjoy those rays, ladies! Your skin will thank you.
