Did you know that November is National Peanut Butter Month?  Well, it is!

Aside from being the month of elections, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and the biggest shopping day of the year, November is extra special for all us peanut butter lovers!

I mean, who DOESN’T love peanut butter?  Except maybe, the people who are allergic to peanuts (I’m very sorry).  For everyone else, peanut butter is food of the gods.

It goes with everything from apples and celery, to Oreo cookies.  You can eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and as a snack.  Put it in your oatmeal, mix it in with a smoothie, or eat it straight from the jar with a spoon.  With peanut butter, the possibilities are truly endless.

No wonder there’s not just a day dedicated to this glorious food, but an entire month!

Peanut butter dates back to the ‘Common Era’ but was made mainstream by the Peter Pan brand in 1928.  The rest, is delicious, smooth, and crunchy history!

Now that we’re in the midst of the greatest month ever, let’s get into some ways to celebrate:

Eat some form of peanut butter

This is the most obvious, but why don’t you chow down on some old-fashioned PB&J?  Buy a little travel jar of peanut butter and keep it at work for a mid-afternoon snack with pretzels or fruit.  Celebrate your favorite versatile food by indulging in it a little more.

Bake

Baking with peanut butter is an underrated activity.  Bake a peanut butter pie, or make your own homemade chocolate peanut butter cups.  Get on Pinterest and search some unique peanut butter recipes.  Light a fall candle, and make it a true fall night in!

Make your own peanut butter

I mean, you might as well go big during the honorary month.  Pick a day, Google some recipes, and try your hand at creating homemade peanut butter.  How delicious does that sound?

If you’re a hardcore peanut butter lover like myself, try to celebrate as much as you can, not just during November.  Enjoy!
