    Hi bSmart World Travelers!

Allison Donlan is about to study abroad in PARIS!! (We're all so jealous!).

Rikki Weiss - do you have any tips on what to do / where to go?

Anne Whiting Meagan Lopez Amelia Madeleine Derry - Do you have any Paris study abroad tips for Allison? AND, Allison's professional goal is to have a career in writing and book publishing. Do you have any writing and book publishing tips for her Paris experience?!

P.S. I'll be in Paris 10/12-14 and then Provence for a few days if that coordinates with anyone's schedule.

You will have a great time there! Angelina is a great place for tea, desserts, and HOT CHOCOLATE!! The Catacombs were very cool and spooky lol but definitely worth seeing! I also did an electric bike tour with my family which was super fun and not too expensive. Le Marais is a beautiful area for shopping and eating! Also I don't recall the names but I believe within the 2nd arrondissement there were some cool vintage shops. Anyway, have a blast! Super jealous!!  More ...

Make sure that school doesn't keep you from enjoying yourself Angelina is amazing (not just saying that because of the name haha), also it's across the street from the lovely Tuileries park and the Louvre and down the street from a good shopping area for casual clothes and shoes on Rue des Rivoli. I love the Centre Pompidou for modern art and views on the city, and Rodin and Picassos museums are both amazing too. Have a picnic with wine (you're allowed to drink in public and before you turn 21), cheese, and grapes on the Seine quais and/or on the lawns in front of the Eiffel Tour. Speak French no matter how hard - it'll come to you as you keep trying. Ohh and if you have time for trips the Monet gardens an hour on the train are beautiful. Enjoy!!! Bonne chance   More ...

My favorite city...I have to say, I recommend getting a bunch of travel guides and slowly ticking off every single list. Let's Go Paris has great advice on a budget. Everything in Paris is worth it.
Also for more curated, artistic recommendations my favorite books are the Wallpaper* guides. And you can buy them at my favorite museum: the Musée des Art Decoratifs (attached to the Louvre, and across from the Palais Royale and the famous Daniel Buren striped pillar installation—Instagram here you come!)

But some of my favorite things -
Nanashi café bento boxes for lunch
Café Pinson is this amazing vegan café
Kilo Shop for secondhand shopping charged per weight (kilo!)
      Club Carmen
Le Bon Marché and the Grand Epicerie de Paris food market
Champagne or tea at one of Paris' beautiful hotels
(and then be brought back to Earth with the Marché Belleville food market..."one euro one euro"!)

      Have fun!!
