1)  Spinach

This leafy green is an all-around great nutrient for both men and women because of its high concentration of antioxidants and vitamins A, B2, C, and K.  The antioxidants found in spinach contribute to the prevention of various cancers, like breast, prostate and ovarian.  It’s simple to pick up a bag at the grocery store and sprinkle some leaves into a sandwich, smoothie, salad or wrap.

2)  Greek Yogurt

A fantastic option for breakfast or a midday snack, Greek yogurt is even better when topped with with fresh berries.  This calcium-rich treat will keep your bones strong and offer probiotics and protein that help break down lactose, thus making it easier to eat for those who are lactose-intolerant.  It’s also low in sugar and calories.

3)  Almonds

Almonds are the perfect snack for on-the-go.  They’re quick, mess-free, and make you feel full.  Almonds contain vitamin E, fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and folic acid.  Folic acid is especially important for the growth of a baby, meaning almonds can support a healthy pregnancy.  They also lower blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and cholesterol - an important benefit  for people at every stage of life.

4)  Avocados

Avocados are chock-full of nutrients ranging from folic acid, vitamins B, C, and K, potassium, and healthy fats, fiber, and minerals.  These healthy fats aid estrogen production and reproductive hormonal balance. It also supports the growth of your hair, skin, and nails!
